Where is the Dental Office located?
The Dental Office is located on the ground floor of the Student Wellness Center at 305 Towerview Rd., next to Penn Pavilion in Campus Center. The best entrance to the office is through the double doors of the DuWell Center.
Who can use the Dental Office at Duke?
The Dental Office is a special amenity exclusively available to the Duke community, including all current Students, Faculty, and Staff.
What services are offered?
Our experienced care team provides all preventive and general restorative dental procedures including, but not limited to:
- Preventive exams, X-rays, and hygiene
- Restorative services (e.g. crowns and fillings)
- Endondontic services (e.g. root canals)
- Periodontal services (e.g. gum treatments)
- Invisalign (e.g. invisible, removable orthodontics)
- Cosmetic dentistry (e.g. advanced teeth whitening, veneers)

How do I make an appointment?
To schedule an appointment, please call us at (919) 296-1212. Please note that walk-in appointments are accepted pending availability. Scheduling in advance is highly recommended.
What are the hours of operation?
The Dental Office is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. If you need to schedule an appointment outside of the regular office hours, please contact the office and we will do the best we can to accommodate your schedule.
Does the Dental Office accept insurance?
 Yes. The Dental Office is in-network with all major PPO insurance plans, including those offered by the university through Ameritas. The Dental Office is happy to help answer any questions you may have about your insurance coverage.

I don’t have dental insurance. Can I still use the Dental Office?
Yes. Individuals without dental insurance can still use the Dental Office. Our team is able to provide significant discounts to individuals without dental insurance or to those opting to pay out of pocket. A savings plan and financing options are also available.
What happens if I need dental care after hours?
Please call the Dental Office at (919) 296-1212. Our care team and dentists are on call for 24/7. Even if you have to leave a message, the voicemail is checked regularly. Our providers are available to help triage your phone call and direct care as appropriate based on your need. In case of a medical emergency, please call 911.
What happens if I need to see a specialist outside of the Dental Office?
Our office can take care of the vast majority of your dental needs. However, if you require specialized care outside of the Dental Office, our team will recommend a specialist and coordinate your complete dental care. The Dental office has developed a comprehensive network of vetted specialists.
